My Grown Up Christmas List

aww Amy Grant Christmas songs :) Alas, tis not yet the season! I'm still holding true to my post about Respecting the Turkey. But this post idea came to me as I was vacuuming this morning and it's my blog and I can be wishy washy if I want to leave me alone!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Ok back to the post. The Christmas before I got married my mom gave me/us a vacuum. I can remember how bummed and irritated I was that I got a vacuum for Christmas! We were getting married 3 months later and I knew that we NEEDED a vacuum but as one of my Christmas gifts?! Ugh. But this just goes to show you how YOUNG I was when I got engaged/married. That Christmas I was 18. I turned 19 just about a month before our wedding. Crazy young huh?

But now looking back, I would LOOOOOOVE for my mom (or anyone!) to give me a vacuum this Christmas! Now that I'm all growed up (haha!) I realize how nice it is to get gifts that you NEED instead of gifts that you might or might not want!

David & I will celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary this March. That means it has been NINE years since we opened our wedding gifts. We were really lucky to have received a TON of kitchen-y items as gifts but honestly, we don't even HAVE a lot of those gifts anymore. We've gone through more than one vacuum, toaster, spatula, and so on. It is not so fun spending money on all those things! I would much rather Santa (or Mommy) give them to me! Seriously!

So here you go, this is my Grown Up Christmas List:

• A new set of pots & pans. I don't really have a preference for these because I dont' really know my way around the kitchen. But I do know the difference between non stick and NO LONGER non stick. It's past time people! And because I love all things Racheal Ray, I choose these :)


• A new vacuum. Again, don't really care what brand just as long as it gets the job done!


• A Carpet cleaner. In a house with cheap, LIGHT, carpet, 2 kids and 2 adults, no coffee table OR Rugs, our carpet needs all the help it can get! I'd also really like to use it in my van!



• My walls painted. I hate painting, I suck at it, and we have vaulted ceilings - need I say more?

Curs-ed/Bless-ed Target!

Due to our financial situation this month and the fun activities we have planned despite it, I have been staying away from Target since mid-August :( GASP! I know I can hardly believe it myself :( But I am determined to be a good girl and when I walk through those magical doors I CAN NOT BE TRUSTED!!!! It's been SOOO hard! Especially because I just KNOW that they have so much cute fall & Halloween stuff out right now!!! But I've been doing ok and come September 30th I will SOOOOOO be there rewarding myself! I'm just hoping that I can find one of these bad boys to reward myself with! Think Target will hold it for me till then?

Ok so there's only 2 right now but I have lots more in my head. I'm just to tired to do the pics and the links right now LOL Feel free to offer suggestions as well! I think this is going to be an ongoing thing like my other wishlist.

I found this at the scrapbook store today for $19.99 and used my Michael's 40% off coupon!
It's not the Paul Mitchell one but it's cheaper and I had a $10 off coupon! (JC Penney salon) Picked this bad boy up at Linen's N Things last night - 4.5qt on sale for $199.99 and a free $20 GC = I had 20% off coupon SCORE!

My Birthday Wish List

WARNING!!! Shameful wanting ahead. Read on only if you dare!

My birthday is 2 weeks away! I will be turning 27! Holy smokes! That is awfully close to 30 yah?

So in honor of my special day, I am compiling a list of Wants, Desires, Material Wishes. Not that I expect to GET any of this stuff from anyone, all though if I'm being totally honest that would sure be nice since RARELY do people actually ASK me what I want. But really this is just a fun lil list that I am putting together that I can look back on in years to come and see what I was interested in at this age. So here goes,

• A Cricut I want it baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!!
• The Scrapbooker's Almanac
• Photo Freedom
• New scrapbook albums- 3 ring bound please. I really like THESE from Anthologie
• I would really love a bottle of this with a picture of my kiddos on it! But I'd settle for a plain bottle too hehehe
• I really do need a new straightener and if I could have any one, I'd choose THIS one. It's like magic!!!!
• Ok and even though there is only a few weeks of winter left-I would really LOVE a pair of THESE, I also really like the quilted looking boots.
• And finally a $250 Starbuck's gift card so I could enjoy my once a week treat of a Grande White Chocolate Mocha without further damaging our bank account :)

So there ya have it. My crazy, anabashed, expensive, list of wants of the moment :) Just for funsies mind you!!! I'm also a Ginormous fan of books (I plan to blog about some books I woul d like to read within the next few days), scrapbooking supplies or organizational stuff to keep all my supplies in check, picture frames, and Target!

I found another "I WANT"

I have ALWAYS loved the fragrance Clinque Happy. ALWAYS. But haven't had a bottle of it in probably like 6 years or so? I rarely wear perfume, usually just body spray or something. But the girly girl in me (tiny though she may be!), always has a hankering for some Clinique Happy! I came across this lil beauty in a magazine awhile back and I REALLY WANT ONE!!! For a photog momma this is just too cute!
