The Future

I read this in my textbook the other day (see I DO do homework!) and it was so eye-opening I just had to share!

"Consider this: A child born in 2002 (which is the year Lacie was born) will be a voting adult in 2020 (oy!), and may live until the END of the century (!!!). We are teaching (and raising!) the children of the future!"

Love This...

"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return."

Exactly what I've been thinking

"A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual doom."
"History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition was not the strident clamor of the bad people, but the appalling silence of the good people."

Quote of the day

I dunno who said this but I just LOVE it!

"People will always doubt what you say, but they will always believe what you do."
